Getting ready to enter the world of work can be daunting time for young people. They often have little understanding of their career preferences and choices, or how to approach employment. Without a vision and interest for further education or work, young people risk disillusionment and unemployment. Your involvement can help. By supporting a career and transition programme, you will give young people the vital workplace exposure they need to increase their awareness of the knowledge and skills required for employment. Some of the possible ways you or your business can contribute are to:


• Offer a workplacement
• Be a guest speaker at a careers event
• Support a career and transition event
• Be part of a school mentoring program
• Host an industry visit
• Be part of an ASP
• Offer a donation or in-kind support
